Description

200 years ago, we lived in the countryside to the rhythm of nature. The former forest of the lord of Thivet was habited by wolves, harmful to sheep. Farmers did grow vines on the sunny hillsides bordering the Marne and were building the dry stone caivottes for their protection and that of their tools. Gradually, industry is growing at Rolampont. Valley Marne is a huge construction site with construction of the railway and the canal. Throughout this country walk and forest, we will imagine the landscape and life here on earth in a time long gone.
