| Faithful to its aim of supporting contemporary creativity and discovering new talent, the festival welcomes the year’s creations as well as a number of premiere productions attracting many programme organisers from France and abroad. With the passing of the years Furies has proven itself as a national and international reference point in the field of circus and street theatre. In a garden, a town square, under canvas, at the corner of a road, at the National Circus Arts Centre, at La Comete Scene Nationale, at the Rive Gauche hall… the town of Châlons-en-Champagne is transformed at the beginning of every June into a giant open-air ring, open to a circus of creativity, to the invention of a new poetry. Leaving the cover of the big top to get a taste of the open road, the circus takes to the outdoors for a theatre beyond the walls and give the city its sense of encounters and exchanges. |
