Bourbonne-les-Bains is the only spa town in Champagne-Ardenne.
The thermal waters of Bourbon-les-Bains (66°) contain as much salt per litre as human blood. Rare gases and a number of minerals mean that the waters are very beneficial. In particular, they stimulate bone formation.
They regulate blood circulation and soothe pain. They act on the skin and the fumes enhance respiration.
Thus they are particularly used to relieve rheumatism and osteoarthritis but also respiratory disorders.
The thermal waters of Bourbon-les-Bains ultimately originate from rainwater. The rainwater seeps into the soil to a depth of 1700 to 2000 m in an area located 11 km north east of Bourbon-les-Bains.
