The Confrérie des Sacres de la Champagne - a brand new brotherhood.
The Confrérie des Sacres de la Champagne was created in 2000. The objective of the guild is to be an ardent defender of the Champagne region and its wines.
It is aimed at 21st century epicureans, offering them the chance to share both this legendary wine and all of its values: Friendship, Humanism, Conviviality.
During champagne tasting sessions, new members are initiated in the art of sabrage, slicing open a bottle of champagne with a sabre.
These members are then promoted to the rank of Champagne Peer and undertake to sponsor a particular vine stock from that Champagne appellation. They are then dubbed.
