The Dolce Vita!
Set in the heart of Champagne-Ardenne, Châlons-en-Champagne, a town classified as a "City of Art and History" in 2007, has long been a major economic hub in northern Europe, thanks to its strategic position on the Marne and the Via Agrippa, the Roman road which connected Rome to Boulogne-sur-Mer. Thanks to its particularly pleasant environment and the numerous streams that run through it, the town goes by the nickname of "Little Venice". The artistic scene is very strong here, as is the craft tradition, in particular with stone cutting, sculpture and stained glass.
