To deepen your ornithological knowledge and benefit from the best possible bird watching conditions, holidays are organised for you.

Birding weekend at Lac du Der

The Bird Protection League of Champagne-Ardenne invites you to discover the wintering and migratory birds of Lac du Der over a weekend which will provide you with unforgettable memories.

On the programme: discovery of the lake from the dams and bird watching from the Chantecoq site and on the Outines ponds (cranes, geese, ducks, mudflat waders etc.). The next day, an early morning departure will ensure that you see the majestic ballet of the cranes as they rise, before you continue your bird watching and visit the Pays du Der Museum.

Dates: 25 and 26 October 2008 – 8 and 9 November 2008 – 29 and 30 November 2008

The Grand Spectacle of Nature

Fall under the spell of the charm and beauty of the scenery at the Lac du Der, a major stopping off site for migratory cranes. After dinner and a night in the "Au Lac Brochet" guest house, Emmanuel from "Nature du Der" will introduce you to the rising of the cranes as you stand on the lake's dykes. Then after a refreshing breakfast, you will leave for a day of nature, discovering the wintering birds or hiking around the Outines ponds.

Dates: 15 September to 15 March. Out of this period, “Nature” days possible on request.

Day discovering wintering and migratory birds in Aube

The Bird Protection League of Champagne-Ardenne offers a day out to discover natural riches of the lakes in Aube. You will discover Lakes Temple, Amance and Orient, in the heart of the Regional Nature Park in the company of an enthusiastic guide who will accompany you throughout the day.

On the programme: Bird watching from the hides and dykes and field trip to discover the wild fauna and flora.
