Marne Valley

Between Dormans and Epernay, the Marne Valley becomes a little steeper and the river carves out its bed to the south of the Montagne de Reims, offering some outstanding vineyard scenery.

The vines stretch as far as the eye can see on the slopes that run down to the river. The villages grouped together on the hillsides offer a multitude of places to stop off and enjoy the view (in Mutigny, Champillon, Hautvilliers, Venteuil and Chatillon sur Marne).
These villages are also the starting point for many a walk, such as Hautvilliers or Mutigny. 

The scenery along the Marne Valley can also be explored by boat, at Cumières aboard the "Champagne-Vallée", or by car along a 90 km circuit.
