Description

The charming village of Hierges nestles at the foot of the castle, whose earliest fortifications date back to 840. It was then destroyed and rehabilitated in the 16th century (1555). It constitutes a remarkable example of the architecture of the Mosan Renaissance, a subtle compromise between the constraints of military life and the splendour of a princely abode. Monument not opened to the public. Private property.
