The Moulin de la FleuristerieMoulin de la Fleuristerie

Since 1321, the Moulin de la Fleuristerie d'Orges produced flour and oil, before turning to linen fulling and, in the 19th century, an ironworks.

In 1903, the Briançon company set up in Orges in order to make artificial flowers to decorate hats, clothes and draperies. Today, although the old paddle wheel still turns the machines of yesteryear, the mill is now home to France’s last remaining production centre for artificial pistils, petals, leaves and fruit, aimed at all lovers of floral creations for haute couture (Chanel), decoration and even bakers and confectioners (Lenôtre) for their sugar decorations.
The Moulin de la Fleuristerie is an inspiration to many contemporary artists, and is both a "Living Heritage Business" and a listed historical monument.

To complete this well thought out cultural tourist offer, the Fleuristerie holiday cottage provides a bucolic and rustic setting and a host of leisure activities (hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, etc.).
