Prevention is better than cure

Soil is an ecosystem where the organisms (insects, worms, fungi, bacteria) that develop humus live. The quality of the humus has an essential impact on the resistance of plants to diseases, pests and cold.

The best alternative to pesticides is to give the soil the means to provide healthy produce:

• add humus
• sow green fertilisers

All animal life within the soil or on its surface produces carbon dioxide, which is needed by plants, and residues that contribute to the fertility of the soil after decomposition:

• banish biocides
• recognise our allies

The garden will be beautiful if the plants there are beautiful. The plants are beautiful if they feel comfortable:

• choose disease-resistant species, adapted to the soil and the climate
• associate plants that grow together and protect each other
• plant diversity reduces parasites and increases the amount of useful fauna
