Lafauche Castle is a border fortress dating from the 12th - 16th century overlooking the plain of Prez at more than 400 meters above sea level. Its area of 5 ha testifies to its strategic importance in the Middle Ages.
The castle was vast with a low court and high court, well fortified, surrounded by a wall of 1.525 m thick at 3 meters and flanked by eighteen towers. Two drawbridges gave access to the courses.
Nine towers are still visible.
