Located in the middle of the Plain of Champagne, it is lined with old networks of trenches that are still visible, a few graves of soldiers and residues of the great offensive of the autumn 1915 which was a disaster for the French armies.
It is possible to descend into the crypt to discover thousands of plaques recalling that so many destinies came to an ended in this area. Six panels are exposing the different phases of the fights in Champagne between 1914 and 1918.
Open from mid-March to late September. Fridays and Saturdays from 2 to 6pm, Sundays and bank holidays from 10am to noon and from 2 to 6pm. 1 and 11 November from 10am to noon and from 2 to 4pm.
