  • The German military cemetery contains graves of 14,055 soldiers from the first war and 12 788 from the Second World War.
General Gunther Schauorfzkopff, the creator of the Stuka (dive bomber plane) was buried there.
In this imposing and perfectly maintained necropolis, visitors can discover a copper roofed chapel - with the statue of a crying woman inside.
A little further on, a 11 metre granite cross faces east at the request of the German authorities.
