  • As part of the centenary of the Great War, two exhibitions at the Saint-Remi Museum-Abbey, designed in collaboration with the Tolstoy Museum in Moscow: one, "The Saint-Remi civilian hospital under fire" and the other devoted to the first serious injured from the Russian Expeditionary Force who were treated during the Summer of 1916.

    For four years, from September 1914 to October 1918, the city of Reims, located on the Eastern Front, suffered almost daily fire from German artillery posted on the heights of the Massif Berru; the former royal abbey of Saint-Remi, then Civil Hospital since the abolition of the Hotel-Dieu and the departure of the Augustinian Sisters November 14, 1903, had his share of terrible martyrdom that overwhelmed the city.this exhibition object for remember those painful years and salute the courage and sacrifice of military and civilian personnel who devoted themselves to treat many wounded: innocent Rémois victims of the bombing and soldiers severely affected from the front lines.
