The successive passage of pencil lead in charcoal, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, oil and hot enamel, allowed him to arrive at a particular technique which is the drawing engraved on stainless steel. A mode of expression that suits him, this practice is similar to drawing, his tool is not a brush but a grinder that he uses like a pencil. Indeed the point of tangent of the disc on the sheet corresponds to the lead of its pencil. Then, everything is a question of pressure, inclination, speed of movement which gives these effects of shadow, light and relief. Self-taught, he has been drawing since the age of 9, after the painting stage, he switched to the grinder in 2013. This technique requires upstream reflection by projecting onto the finished work; both on the layout and on the uncertainties to obtain the lighting effects, because unlike other techniques, retouching is practically impossible. His sources of inspiration are often scenes of life, a look at the events that touch him, that surround him, that enchant him, and according to the instinct of the moment, these can be translated into figurative works, modern or abstract. It does not forbid me any restriction in subjects and genres. This technique and the harmony of his work which emerges from the works, he owes it to his technical training and his artistic aptitudes. His sensitivity allows him to explore this technique in an empirical, intuitive and instinctive way. His works on stainless steel plate evolve technically over time: stainless steel alone, with the addition of pewter sculptures, incorporation of stained glass, painted canvases, addition of gold leaf, laser cuts for light paintings and on his latest creations. addition of enamel paint on stainless steel. All these versions bring his paintings to life in different ways and are adapted according to the subject to be produced.
