The new exhibition of the Signe, national center of the graphic design, invites to discover how the poster has seized the question of the transport and the modes of individual displacement through the old and contemporary posters of the collections of the City of Chaumont, while Public transport will be the subject of a full exhibition in the summer of 2020.
From walking from the origins of humanity to the car queen of the late twentieth century, through the horse or bike, the means of individual locomotion, whether muscular or motorized, meet needs and raise issues that poster designers have revealed: speed, infrastructure, health and the environment, recreation and tourism are all issues addressed in the chronological and thematic journey of the exhibition.

Throughout the year, the sign responds to requests for museum loans. This winter, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam presented a large-format installation of the Metahaven graphic design collective for their retrospective. Until July 21, two circus posters in The Black Model. From Géricault to Matisse, to the Musée d'Orsay.
Finally, two old posters will be restored and loaned in autumn at the Grand Palais in Paris as part of the resolutely modern Toulouse Lautrec exhibition, Paris (Oct 2019 - Jan 2020).
