Mill in Étourvy

  • The mill, located in the heart of the village, on the Landion river, is supplied with water by a pond which serves as a reach, a pond itself supplied by the river and the Saint Georges fountain. It was built in 1815 and operated until 1957. The mill is twofold: one part produced oils (rapeseed, walnuts, carnation) with 2 crossed millstones: the other part produced flour (wheat, barley, oats and rye) with 2 stacked grindstones.
